Join Our Imaging Team in Ingham  

Townsville Hospital and Health Service is launching CT services in Ingham in July 2026, and we’re looking for talented radiographers to help bring this exciting new service to life.

We have two exciting opportunities available:

HP3 Radiographer – Rural Development Pathway 
This position offers a structured development pathway designed to support your transition into a senior HP4 role. You’ll join a supportive team and complete an intensive development plan while delivering high-quality medical imaging services to the Ingham community. Upon successful completion, you’ll progress into a senior HP4 role, providing complex and responsive CT and X-ray services.

HP4 Senior Radiographer 

As a Senior Radiographer, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services across CT and general X-ray. You’ll work with a committed and collaborative team, applying advanced clinical skills and professional judgement to support diagnostic accuracy, radiation safety, and service excellence. You’ll also contribute to education and knowledge sharing within the department.

About the Team 

The Rural Allied Health Northern Hub, part of the Allied Health Service Division, is based in Ingham and supports surrounding rural communities. With the introduction of CT services in July 2026, the unit is expanding its capabilities to deliver high-quality, patient-centred medical imaging. These roles offer the opportunity to contribute to the growth of a vital regional healthcare service and be part of a team committed to innovation, collaboration, and excellence in rural health.

Permanent Full-time or Part-time positions available, hours negotiable.

Role Requirements (HP3 & HP4) 

  • Tertiary qualification in Medical Imaging Technology
  • Registration with AHPRA and current annual practising certificate.
  • Eligibility for Queensland radiation licence.

Additional Requirement for HP3 Radiographer – Rural Development Pathway 

  • Participation in the HP3 to HP4 Rural Development Pathway and completion of all required development activities within the Intensive Development Plan.
