General Radiographer

Gold Coast Radiology (GCR) is looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate radiographer who is looking to join a team of like-minded professionals.

GCR is a privately-owned business with sites at Hope Island and Surfers Paradise which are situated within the growth corridor of south-east Queensland, and located on the beautiful Gold Coast.  GCR offers comprehensive medical imaging services which includes X-ray, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, BMD, Ultrasound, Mammography, Cardiac Imaging and Interventional procedures

The successful candidate will be required to work at both sites which are open Monday through to Friday excluding public holidays, with no after hours or weekend commitments.  GCR is recognised as a Siemens reference site for Australia.

Workload for the successful candidate will include a mixture of patient case mixes. The successful candidate will be required to work across all relevant modalities, this is a general radiographer role and candidates will not be working primarily in one modality, i.e. CT or MRI only.  Mammography experience or a willingness to upskill in this modality would be viewed favourably.

Key responsibilities:

Managing patients and operating specialised medical imaging equipment
Consistently delivering high levels of patient care and service
Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with patients, referrers, staff and managers
Promoting and maintaining the highest quality and safety standards
Familiarity with RIS/PACS

Required Qualifications:

Appropriate qualifications in Medical Imaging Technology/Diagnostic Medical Radiography
Must be AHPRA registered and hold a valid QLD radiation use licence
Professional registration with ASMIRT

Required Experience:

Experience in general X-Ray, OPG, CT, CT guided interventional procedures and BMD (DEXA)
Experience with Mammography and Stereotactic breast biopsies highly regarded

Salary

Salary commensurate with level of experience, with flexible work arrangements on offer.
