MRI Radiographer – Grade 2 Permanent Role

In 2023 the Medical Imaging Department welcomes a new era in its MRI service delivery. It is in the process of expanding its MRI fleet with an additional purpose designed and built MRI department hosting 4 new scanners including 1.5T, 3T and the latest AI technology. The new facility enjoys natural light and a dedicated anaesthetic bay. This will raise the total MRI fleet to 7 including an intra-operative MRI and the latest dedicated 3T research scanner. The calibre of MRI imaging crosses many areas of interest including neurology, cardiology, oncology, musculoskeletal and a broad range of research. There is an already established supportive team that fosters personal development with opportunities for educational growth and career progression.

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Radiology team. This is a Permanent Full Time position, working 80 hours per fortnight, based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. Rotation will include MRI and other modalities/areas.

Your new role:

Undertake routine and specialised medical imaging procedures within the RMH and Royal Park Radiology Departments and the Private Radiology Suite.

This position has components of service delivery, patient care and safety as well as quality improvement.
Be accountable for the responsible use of ionising radiation where applicable including the monitoring of all imaging equipment during examinations.
About you:

You are a Radiographer with current general AHPRA registration.
You hold a Victorian Radiation Use Licence issued by the Department of health.
You are committed to good patient outcomes by providing a high level of patient care and outstanding imaging quality using state of the art equipment.
