Sonographer – General

We are in search of an awesome, friendly sonographer who is passionate about helping patients with venous disorders to come join our growing team at Doctor Vein.

The opportunity

Doctor Vein is a dedicated vein clinic, helping both men and women with venous disorders, we are looking for a dynamic sonographer to join our team.

We have a purpose built facility to evaluate, diagnose and manage patients with chronic venous disorders, located in Frankston, Victoria.

You will be working closely with patients and with one of our Phlebologist doctors on site all the time. We are all about growth and want our sonographers to be part of the patient journey, from start to finish.

We are offering a part time position which will definitely suit a person looking for flexibility and potentially wanting to keep a general mix of clinical work elsewhere.

For the right candidate we can discuss remuneration options from contract arrangements to a per patient basis.

About you

You have great communication skills – friendly in nature you are able to connect with people from all walks of life, putting patients at ease when in your presence.

You will enjoy being part of a motivated team and be passionate about supporting patients achieve the best possible outcomes.

You will be able to work independently, performing predominantly chronic venous insufficiency scans and deep vein thrombosis scans of the lower limbs.

The ability to support the Phlebologist with ultrasound guided procedures would be ideal.

Skills and Experience

General sonographer with experience with venous scans
Willing to learn and improve imaging based on what is needed by the Phlebologist
Process driven and be able to manage a room, from preparation, adherence to quality and hygiene
Work independently and populate reports
Good organisational and time management skills

Qualifications and Registrations

A relevant sonography qualification accredited by the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR)
ASAR registration
At least 2 years experience
