ABOUT THE ROLE

SCR is looking for Radiographers to join our Gold Coast team to work across some of our Southern and Northern based sites.

This opportunity allows you to work across fully comprehensive private practices which offer services including X-Ray, Mammo, BMD, CT, MRI, Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine.

Mix of case load – General X-ray, Mammo, BMD, CT
Working with approachable doctors on-site daily

You will be responsible for:

Perform high quality medical imaging diagnostic examinations in compliance with protocols within nominated timeframes.
Understand nursing procedures for the patients examined and the procedures for medical emergencies, infection control and interventional techniques
Be able to work with radiologist in the performance of procedures and to assist them as required. This includes knowledge of sterile techniques.
Be familiar with all equipment and accessories provided so that a fluent examination can be undertaken
Ensure correct film identification and any other administrative functions necessary for the production of Xray
Carry out examinations at the direction and discretion of the Radiographer In Charge.
Work autonomously and as part of a team to ensure effective communication and delivery of high-quality care to patients in a professional, caring, and sympathetic manner

ABOUT YOU

AHPRA – Medical Radiation Practitioner Registration
QLD Radiation Use Licence
Australian residency – Rights to work in Australia
Tertiary degree qualification in Medical Imaging Technology (Diagnostic Radiography)
Demonstrated professional competence within a clinical setting
Phillips and Siemens experience are advantageous, but not essential.
Ideally minimum 2 years experiance
Be able to commit to shift work and assist in on call service
