ABOUT THE ROLE

SCR is looking for a Radiographer to join our John Flynn Hospital (JFH) team full-time. This role is shift working which allows for great work life balance! MRI Techs welcome to apply!

JFH is a large private hospital located in Tugun. At SCR, you can work across fully comprehensive private practices which offer services including X-Ray, Mammo, CT, MRI, Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine.

At SCR you will have a lot of variety including:

Mix of case load – General X-ray, Fluoroscopy, CT including CTCAs and a large variety of complex interventional CT procedures
Working with approachable doctors on-site daily

 

You will be responsible for:

Perform high quality medical imaging diagnostic examinations in compliance with protocols within nominated timeframes.
Understand nursing procedures for the patients examined and the procedures for medical emergencies, infection control and interventional techniques
Be able to work with radiologist in the performance of procedures and to assist them as required. This includes knowledge of sterile techniques.
Be familiar with all equipment and accessories provided so that a fluent examination can be undertaken
Ensure correct film identification and any other administrative functions necessary for the production of Xray
Carry out examinations at the direction and discretion of the Radiographer In Charge.
Work autonomously and as part of a team to ensure effective communication and delivery of high-quality care to patients in a professional, caring, and sympathetic manner

ABOUT YOU

AHPRA – Medical Radiation Practitioner Registration
QLD Radiation Use Licence
Australian residency – Rights to work in Australia
Tertiary degree qualification in Medical Imaging Technology (Diagnostic Radiography)
Demonstrated professional competence within a clinical setting
Canon CT, GE MRI experience are advantageous, but not essential.
Be able to commit to shift work and assist in on call service
