Central Queensland Radiology (CQR) is part of the Imaging Queensland and Integral Diagnostic (IDX Group); we operate quality assured comprehensive practices including CT, Mammography, BMD, general X-Ray, Ultrasound, MRI and Nuclear Medicine from Rockhampton to the Sunshine Coast and Northern Brisbane.

CQR currently has the opportunity for a CT Radiographer Medical Imaging Technologist with a compassionate and dedicated work ethic to join our practices in Rockhampton, Queensland at our 4 practices are located within close proximity, including the Public Base Hospital, Private Hospital and two private CQR practice.

Career-wise, you’ll also be going ahead in leaps and bounds, with lots of opportunity for development – you’ll experience a mix of cases working in both a private practice setting and at Rockhampton Base Hospital. With the opportunity for overtime, shift allowances and on-call allowance, your earning potential is significantly higher than your peers who work in metropolitan settings.

If you are a Radiographer looking for a trainee sonographer opportunity, then working regionally is your chance to get a foot in the door for these rare opportunities – we run an annual expression of interest process for our trainee sonographer positions and completing two years in Gladstone or Rockhampton as a Rad puts you towards to the top of the list of candidates (note: trainee sonographer roles are based on the Sunshine Coast and we facilitate an inter-company transfer for these opportunities).

You will need to hold

AHPRA – Medical Radiation Practitioner Registration
QLD Radiation Use Licence
Australian residency – Rights to work in Australia
Tertiary degree qualification in Medical Imaging Technology (Diagnostic Radiography)
This is ideally a role for a Radiographer 2 years + post grad experience looking for the next step in their career (CT and MRI options available) but we are open to newly qualified to kick start your career.
