About your opportunity:

BreastScreen Queensland is currently seeking to recruit a Breast Imaging Radiographer / Mammographer Senior, to their team on a permanent full-time basis. This position is based in Garbutt, Townsville.

The Breast Imaging Radiographer / Mammographer Senior will perform consistently high-quality mammograms, regularly participating in assessment and diagnostic clinics and providing support, advice and a high standard of care to clients in the BreastScreen Queensland Townsville Service.

Generous remuneration package value up to $141,250 p.a. comprising:

Salary range of $4409.80 to $4745.20 p.f. (HP4)
4, 5, 6 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.
Professional Development Allowance as per EB Agreement.

Role Requirements: 

*It is a mandatory requirement to be and to remain vaccinated against COVID-19.
*Proof of qualification, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
*Breast Imaging Radiographers:
– Possession of a Use Licence or be eligible for a Use Licence under the Radiation Safety Act 1999.
– Possession of a Certificate of Mammographic Practice issued by the Australian Society of  Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy or ability to attain one within 12 months of commencement.
*Mammographers:
– Possession of an appropriate undergraduate qualification in a health or science-based field.
– Possession of Graduate Diploma of Mammography (or equivalent).
– Possession of a Use Licence or be eligible for a Use Licence under the Radiation Safety Act 1999.
– Possession of a Certificate of Mammographic Practice issued by the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy or ability to attain one within 12 months of commencement.
– Possession of a Statement of Registration with the Australian Sonographers Accreditation Register (ASAR) if utilising ultrasound skills.
*This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
*6 month probation period.
*Possession of class C drivers’ licence.
*Travel will be a requirement of this position visiting multiple locations within the Townsville, Mackay and North West Hospital and Health *Services and may also include Brisbane.
*Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
