Role and Responsibilities include:

This role is for a Cardiac Sonographer in the Perth Metro region.
Perform 2D cardiac ultrasound in-patient & out-patients without supervision.
Be able to perform and assist in echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms without supervision.
Extension to the above exams as clinically required and/or requested, including the use of contrast agents, if required.
Evaluate images
Generate preliminary reports using computer data base and reporting software.
Cleaning and basic maintenance of echocardiography equipment and probes.
Be willing to fit holter monitoring equipment, including instructions to patients and associated paperwork.
Downloading of monitor data to local database and across a virtual private network.
Liaise with consultant cardiologists with regard to any adverse patient findings.
Basic care for patients attending for examination.
Liaise with administrative staff with regards to patient bookings etc.
Maintain stock items and ensure timely replenishment and appropriate levels of stock.
Involvement in on going professional development by various means, such as attending lectures and conferences etc. When required, involvement in assisting junior staff.
Accreditation with ASAR required and full working in Australia rights.
