The Role

Lake Imaging are seeking experienced Sonographers to join the team working across our sites across outer-west Melbourne in Sunbury and Melton. You will be joining out Sonography team that is collaborative, committed and driven to achieve the best outcomes for our patients.

Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct ultrasound examinations in accordance with safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
Diverse variety of work encompassing Obstetrics, Gynae, MSK, Vascular and Paediatrics with training offered in these procedures.
Use proper patient positioning equipment and ergonomically correct scanning techniques to ensure patient comfort and safety.
As necessary, acquire additional ultrasound imaging to facilitate optimum diagnostic results for the interpreting physician.
Review examination images, synthesize examination results, and prepare the preliminary findings.
Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with privacy laws and facility policies, and procedures.
Provide preliminary report of sonography examinations for use by the interpreting physician.

You will possess:

Graduate Diploma or Masters of Medical Ultrasound accredited by the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
Ideally 2+ years postgraduate Ultrasound experience
The ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
A commitment to your own professional development, including embracing ongoing learning as part of professional development
Good interpersonal skills in order to show patients care, compassion and empathy (particularly during invasive procedures)
