About the Role:
VRH offers the opportunity for experienced MRI radiographers to enter the amazing and compassionate world of the veterinary profession. Due to increase in workload our radiographers require additional support to optimise the imaging team and service provision for all departments, Emergency, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Neurology, Anaesthesia and Surgery. Flexible part-time hours are available within the imaging department’s hours of operation (M-F) This role will be focused on MRI, CT and X-ray (including fluoroscopy) with a varied case mix. The imaging department is complete with; – 1.5T GE Creator MRI – 16 slice GE Optima CT – Ultrasound, Digital Radiography and Fluoroscopy/Image Intensifier
About You: The ideal applicant will be motivated, adaptable, committed to high imaging standards and patient care. You must be comfortable around animals and handling them. Strong MRI experience preferred with the ability to work autonomously across multi modalities.
The ideal candidate will have: · Exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clinicians, nurses and the support staff. · Have experience in MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, and x-ray. · GE platform experience preferred · Experience in the imaging of animals is advantageous but not essential. · Current registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner with AHPRA · Current Victorian Radiation · MRI Accreditation regarded
