About the role

The Associate Program Director Medical Imaging Maroondah Hospital will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Medical Imaging Department at Maroondah Hospital. Reporting to the Program Director Eastern Health Medical Imaging, they will be responsible for all aspects of the department’s operations including service provision, staff and rostering, budget control, equipment maintenance and representing the department at a Campus level. The Associate Program Director will also be a member of the Eastern Health Medical Imaging Senior Management Committee, a committee of senior managers from all Eastern Health Medical Imaging departments that provides leadership and strategic direction to the service. Eastern Health Medical Imaging operates as a health service wide program. The Associate Program Director Medical Imaging Maroondah Hospital will work collaboratively with the other site/service Associate Program Directors of Medical Imaging and other key medical imaging staff to ensure operational synergies, consistency of service delivery and a “Patients First” approach to our service model.

 

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

Essential:

Qualifications that would ensure eligibility for registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia
Registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia
Current Radiation Use Licence as Issued by the Victorian Department of Health.

 

Desirable:

Completion or working toward completion of appropriate post graduate qualifications in management/administration.

 

Experience:

Significant previous experience in a senior administrative capacity in the field of medical imaging and/or employment experience as a Senior Grade MIT (Grade 3 or higher). Previous experience at a Chief or Deputy Chief level will be well regarded.

Must be able to demonstrate a wide understanding of issues effecting major hospital departments and their stakeholders.

Demonstrate commitment to the overall efficiency and functioning of their workplace.
Demonstrate a desire to continue to learn and to teach others.
Must possess good self-evaluative skills.
Must be innovative and interested in new ideas.
Must show commitment to patient care.
Must lead with knowledge and by example.
Must be prepared to embrace change and willing to participate in change processes.
