Job Description

We are seeking a keen and dynamic part-time (minimum of 3 days per week) Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Northside Private Practice team.
In this role, you will be performing all aspects of Nuclear Medicine including radiopharmaceutical preparation and Quality Control procedures to the highest standard. You will have an awareness of all aspects of radiation safety as they pertain to the practices of general Nuclear Medicine. With a Nuclear Medicine Physician on site, this is a great opportunity to develop your career in a supportive environment.

Clinical Requirements:
• Performs Nuclear Medicine Imaging procedures in accordance with the Radiation Safety Act and other relevant legislations, ensuring image quality and scope for examination, analysis and results are sufficient to provide diagnostic information for clinical requirements.
• Administers radionuclides in accordance with Radiological Council guidelines and is responsible for safe handling of unsealed radioactive sources.
• Responsible for patient welfare, privacy and security.
• Records patient data, examination statistics and related information. Undertakes computer archiving of patient data.
• Performs routine quality control procedures, maintains logbooks and assesses results.
• Liaises with other staff regarding nuclear medicine services, including radiation safety and protection.
• Performs other duties as required.

• Provide a detailed curriculum vitae which summarizes your qualifications, registrations, experience and how you are able to meet the position requirements.
• Attach relevant Tertiary qualification certificate in Nuclear Medicine, Current AHPRA registration and Current Qld Radiation Use Licence to provide evidence of eligibility.
• It is preferable for you to supply two current referees.
