The Role:

As part of the Division of Surgery, this position exists to provide a quality imaging service to patients and referrers. As senior clinician in the Ultrasound Department and as part of the US team, provide and ensure outstanding leadership, mentoring and support. Under the direction of the Ultrasound Radiological lead, the role contributes to the ongoing care of paediatric patients in spheres of diagnosis, disease monitoring and treatment. The goal is to optimize and maintain high standards of US procedures and to succeed in producing reliable, timely and important results which can make a difference

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

Post Graduate Ultrasound qualification
Eligibility for registration by ASAR.
Prior experience in a leadership role
A post graduate qualification in Health Administration would be an advantage
Demonstrated ability to perform at executive level within the Medical Imaging Department
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
A high level of written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills;
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders;
Demonstrated ability to organise and plan work effectively, adapting to changes as required.
This position requires considerable initiative and flexibility in order to optimise the performance of the Sonographer team
Balancing sometimes competing and conflicting priorities
Paediatric skills would be an advantage but not essential
