ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an opportunity for a Trainee Sonographer (Radiographer) based at Ballarat’s 2 practices which includes the St John of God private hospital (the largest private hospital in regional Victoria) and our private practice located across the lake.

To be considered for this position, you must be enrolled as a Student Sonographer undertaking a post-graduate university degree in Diagnostic Medical ultrasound, in an Australian based course and ideally hold an undergraduate Radiography degree in a Medical Imaging Technology.

Through our structured ultrasound training program, you will be offered thorough on-site training to learn from our highly regarded skilled Sonographers and be part of our professional onsite team, be provided appropriate scanning and observation time, that will guide you through your post graduate training over a 2-year period. This is a minimum commitment of 4-years; 2 years training plus a minimum of 2 years post ultrasound qualification of employment.

ABOUT YOU

Must hold a relevant qualification in Medical Imaging Technology and be working towards qualification in Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound
Be committed to your own professional development, including embracing ongoing learning as part of professional development
Excellent interpersonal skills to demonstrate patient care, compassion, and empathy
Be able to commit to a career with Lake Imaging
Work rights for Australia or valid Visa
This will be a trainee opportunity, subject to a training period and qualified commitment period based at our Lake Imaging practices working as Radiograher and Trainee Sonographer – permanent full-time position working 38 hours per week.
