We provide comprehensive Radiology and Tele-radiology services to private medical facilities, public hospitals, WACHS (Western Australia Country Health Service) and also operates a series of stand-alone medical imaging practices across Western Australia.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an opportunity for a full time Trainee Sonographer based at our brand new, comprehensive private practice in Metro South Perth.

To be considered for this position you must be enrolled as a Student Sonographer undertaking a post-graduate university degree in Diagnostic Medical ultrasound in an Australian based course. Alternatively, you must have completed the Professional Certificate in Sonographic Principles and Theory through the University of South Australia.

You will be offered thorough on-site training within our private practice to learn from our highly regarded and skilled Sonographers and be part of our professional onsite team.

The Apex Ultrasound Training Program is structured, provides appropriate scanning and observation time, and will guide you through your post graduate degree over a 2-year period.

ABOUT YOU

Must hold a relevant qualification in Medical Imaging Technology, or associated medical field and be working towards qualification in Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound
Be committed to your own professional development, including embracing ongoing learning as part of professional development
Be highly motivated and willing to learn from different experienced mentors
Competent written English skills for electronic report writing
Excellent interpersonal skills in order to demonstrate patient care, compassion and empathy
Be able to commit to a career with Apex Radiology
Work rights for Australia or valid Visa
This will be a trainee opportunity subject to a training period and qualified commitment period based at our Apex Radiology practice. This is a permanent full-time position working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30am and 5.00pm.
