Radiographer in Charge – South Port

ABOUT THE ROLE

SCR is seeking a Radiographer In Charge (RIC) for our Southport fully comprehensive site located on Smith Street on the northern end of the Gold Coast. Boasting an established patient referral base, you will enjoy working with the latest technology including the first GE MRI AIR Tech scanner in Australia, and a range of Cannon and Siemens equipment in CT, General X-ray and Ultrasound.

As a RIC, you will work closely with the Clerical in Charge (CIC) to be responsible for managing the overseeing the diagnostic imaging services and workflow of the site ensuring that patient care standards are achieved and that your team is supported to provide the best outcomes to our patients and referrers as well as working in the practice.

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will be responsible for:

Understanding procedures for the patients examined and the procedures for medical emergencies, infection control and interventional techniques
Participate in quality assurance and audit initiatives when required
Lead all aspects of the management of Radiographers on Site
Perform regular sites meetings ensuring meetings
Approval of on-site technical timesheets and maintain staff roster

ABOUT YOU

A min of 5 years clinical Radiography experience with CT and MRI
Current AHPRA and ASMIRT registration
Able to hold a QLD Radiation Use licence
Ability to lead a team, and demonstrates good interpersonal skills
Proven commitment to ongoing professional development
Expertise with Radiography equipment – Cannon CT, GE and Shimadzu experience is ideal
