Lake Imaging, part of the Integral Diagnostics Group, provides a wide range of diagnostic imaging services to private hospitals, public hospitals, community-based clinics and specialty centres. With more than 25 sites of operation in Victoria, we aim to give referrers and patients access to an unparalleled range of expertise, experience, facilities and resources.

The Geelong Breast Clinic (GBC) is regional Victoria’s premier breast imaging centre, providing a unique mix of diagnostic and screening imaging within the one practice to Geelong and surrounding districts. A custom designed clinic is currently under construction for diagnostic breast imaging and will offer patients the latest technology of Contrast Enhanced Mammography (CEM), 3D mammography, ultrasound and interventional, situated within Geelong’s medical precinct. Screening and assessment services will continue to operate in the existing practice.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Lake Imaging has an exciting opportunity available for a Chief Mammographer to lead a new diagnostic imaging site for the Geelong Breast Clinic to provide supervision and direction to the Radiographers and staff to ensure a high-quality service is delivered to the women in the Geelong and wider region. Supported by the Breast Clinic Manager and Regional Manager, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the clinic, while maintaining all Lake Imaging protocols.

You will need to be a demonstrated leader who possesses excellent communication and organisation skills, as well as being motivated and dedicated to drive a strong culture of high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include:

Maintaining a high quality efficient medical imaging service to our patients and referrers
Ensuring adequate staffing levels are provided for the clinic; working alongside other site managers for rostering needs throughout the region.
Coordination of ongoing education, support and professional development for staff
Liaise with Radiologists, modality leaders and management team to ensure high level of service provision.
Establishment and development of networks in the community with the aim of facilitating client understanding and satisfaction

ABOUT YOU

You need will possess the following skills and qualifications:

Degree qualified in Medical Imaging with AHPRA registration
Proven leadership ability and experience with staff training
CCPM
Extensive experience and competency in diagnostic mammography
Demonstrated “patients first” approach to service provision
Australian work rights, Police Check and Working with Children Check
This position would suit an experienced radiographer looking to step up, or hold proven management experience who is looking for a challenge to diversify their skillset with a passion for patient care and their modality!
