Job description: The Role: The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH), together with the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI) have Siemens Magnatom Aera 1.5T and 3T Trio units in a purpose built MRI clinical and research facility. In the operating theatre suite there is an Imris Verio A Siemens MR/PET is part of the suite of equipment, making the RCH a state of the art MRI facility. As part of the Division of Surgery, this position exists to provide a quality MRI imaging service to patients and referrers. An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, forward thinking, qualified Medical Imaging Technologist to the join the for a fixed term parental leave replacement. The successful candidate will be expected to perform in a Grade 2 capacity as per the Job Description and will have Level 1 MRI accreditation (AIR) and have formal or working towards Post Graduate MRI qualifications. The position requires participation in the weekend and after hour’s rosters as well as some on-call after a suitable training period.
To be successful in this role you will have: Diploma or degree in Applied Science/Diagnostic Radiography as outlined for eligibility for membership of the Australian Institute of Radiography (AIR)
