Medical Imaging Technologist

The Grade 1 Medical Imaging Technologist will perform a full range of diagnostic Imaging examinations to a consistently high standard using a patient focused approach. They will be a mentor to under graduate students and to other Imaging staff.

The Position  

Position Title: Medical Imaging Technologist
Classification: AF3 – AF10
Salary per hour (exc. super): $31.04 – $42.17 per hour
Hours per fortnight: 80 hour (including an ADO every 4 weeks)
Employment Status: Full time on-going

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all examinations are performed efficiently with timing governed by clinical and patient need
• Collaborate with all multidisciplinary team members for the desired outcomes for patients
• Be willing and available to perform all shifts and recall
• Act as a mentor or preceptor to less experienced MIT’s, including interns and students

The Team 

The Medical Imaging team performs a full range of diagnostic Imaging examinations to a consistently high standard using a patient focused approach. The team complete around 110,000 examinations per year and are responsible and are responsible for providing breast screen services to the Bendigo, Echuca and Mildura regions.

Medical Imaging services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for urgent cases.
