ABOUT US

Our Clinical Director – Dr Linda West heads a team of local radiologists, radiographers, sonographers and breast care nurses who have chosen to specialize in breast imaging – known as the Geelong Breast Clinic (GBC).

The GBC is Geelong’s own comprehensive breast imaging centre is situated at the edge of the medical precinct at 78 Gheringhap Street, the provides all breast diagnostic and screening services in a caring and compassionate environment.

Lake Imaging welcomes an accredited (FRANZCR) Breast Specialist Radiologist to join our practice at this dedicated Breast specialist centre in Geelong.

As an accredited provider of screening and assessment for BreastScreen Victoria and the National Breast Cancer Screening program; GBC screening centres in Geelong, Warrnambool and Portland, and also mobile van coverage, we can service the Geelong and Southwest region of the state.

We have a strong commitment to education and teaching, with GBC providing advanced training for specialists and technologists in all aspects of breast imaging. We currently offer two fellowship positions each year for radiologists seeking to specialise in breast imaging and we engage in research with our collaborative projects include work with the Andrew Love Cancer Centre (ALCC) and BreastScreen Victoria.

ABOUT YOU

Fellowship of the RANZCR and eligibility for AHPRA specialist registration
Excellent communication skills with an interest in clinical meeting participation with referrers
Experience in mammography, ultrasound & interventional procedures. (We will consider newly qualified radiologists who possess necessary attributes)
A desire to work in a highly supported work environment using advanced imaging technology including state-of-the-art modalities, PACS and integrated RIS
