We are looking for an experienced Cardiac Echo Sonographer to join our private Cardiology Practice located in Geelong, Victoria.  The position is 2-3 days per week, although days are negotiable.

Work in beautiful rooms overlooking Corio Bay in central Geelong.  We are located an hours drive from Melbourne on the doorstep of the Great Ocean Road with access to affordable housing, reputable schools and Universities and the many local attractions.The region’s amazing beaches, fantastic coastline and outstanding surfing present the regional town of Geelong as a great place to live and work.

Selection Criteria:

• Full accreditation with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry [ASAR] is a mandatory requirement of this position with a minimum of two years Clinical Sonography experience.

• Competency in performing and reporting Transthoracic Echocardiograms.

• Experience in managing a wide variety of echocardiography cases excluding paediatrics.

• Able to work independently with a high standard of clinical reasoning skills in the performance of echocardiography procedures.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of professionalism and reliability.

The suitable applicant requires the drive to be an active team member.

Duties:
• Deliver specialist level ultrasound services in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards using high level skills, knowledge and clinical experience.
• Apply professional judgement and problem solving skills to a complex ultrasound caseload based on valid and reliable evidence

Essential Criteria:
• ASAR accredited with Working Rights for Australia

• Excellent communication skills
• Strong patient focus
• High level of attention to detail

Remuneration is open due to experience and specialisation.
