Fellow – Medical Imaging Department 1

The RCH Medical Imaging Department (MID) is seeking Radiology trainees who demonstrate a strong interest in sub specialising in paediatric radiology. The Fellowship position is normally full time and of 12 months duration. The MID takes a keen interest in developing well trained paediatric radiologists within a supportive environment to experience all areas of paediatric imaging.

Essential Qualifications include:

Completion of radiology training (in country of origin)
Completion of appropriate radiology examinations and / or assessment
 

Key Accountabilities include:

Develop and consolidate expertise in all aspects of general paediatric imaging.
Assist with the provision of Specialist Paediatric Medical Imaging services provided by the Medical Imaging Department of The Royal Children’s Hospital, including participation in the Fellows’ on call roster
Assist with promotion and advancement of knowledge, technique and standards in diagnostic Medical Imaging.
Participate in regular teaching to undergraduate medical students and post-graduate trainees in Paediatrics and Radiology.
Assist with the provision of a consultative specialist paediatric Medical Imaging service to referring doctors.
Medical Imaging services provided will be within the objectives and philosophies of The Royal Children’s Hospital, provided in conjunction with Medical Specialist and trainee radiologist colleagues, and supervised by a Medical Specialist of The Royal Children’s Hospital at the direction of the Director of Medical Imaging.
