What you’ll be doing

The Sole Medical Radiation Scientist provides a quality, sustainable diagnostic imaging service by actively participating in the multidisciplinary delivery of person-focused services to the patients, clients and clinicians of Southern NSW LHD.

 

Selection Criteria:

Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Medical Radiation Practitioner with NSW EPA licence to use radiation (IA14).
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide range of people.
Demonstrated high level interpersonal communication skills applied to a patient environment, as well as proven effective report writing skills.
Ability to work independently, providing a wide-range of general imaging services.
Ability to work within a team, including delegating workloads according to skills and competencies, and to participate and manage the department roster, including participation in on-call.
Evidence of ongoing personal CPD and contribution to programs to supervisor and develop others.
Experience in the ongoing management of modality/modalities, including staffing and policy development, to ensure sustainable, on-going service provision and expansion.
Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
