| Job Description | Who we are Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton has been supporting the health of people living in and around Rockhampton for more than a century. Our heritage listed Kenmore building was purchased by the Sisters of Mercy in 1915 and opened as the first Mater Misericordiae Hospital in Central Queensland on 14 November in the same year. Today, our 136 bed facility features five operating theatres, a private emergency service and a wide range of specialised clinical services. 2020 has seen Mercy Health Queensland join forces under one Mission. The merger with North, Central and South East Queensland allows a single collective network to bring great benefit for Queenslanders by collaborating the organisation’s state-wide expertise and services. About the role As the Radiographer/Radiation Safety Officer you shall undertake facility based responsibilities and functions as a Radiographer whilst responsibilities as a Radiation Safety Officer (“RSO”) shall be on behalf of Central Queensland Mater Hospitals. As the Radiographer within our Catheterisation Laboratory you will deliver well-developed radiographic services in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards undertaking daily radiographic tasks within well-established clinical protocols. The function of the RSO is to advise and assist Central Queensland Mater Hospitals fulfil their obligations of the Radiation Safety Act 1999 (Qld) and Radiation Safety Regulation 2010 (Qld). Full-time or part-time hours are negotiable. On-call arrangements are a feature of this role. The appropriate salary will be dependent on the period of applicable prior experience. Eligibility for membership with the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy and a minimum 1 year experience in a Catheterisation Laboratory would be highly regarded. Why join us?
