Job Description

Medscan is currently seeking suitably qualified and experienced O&G Sonographer to join our expanding team across Sydney CBD and the Eastern Suburbs.

The successful applicant will have proven competence and experience in a wide range of O&G and MSK ultrasound imaging.

Key accountabilities include:

– Consistently delivering high quality and efficient ultrasound imaging services
– Working together with doctors, technicians and clinic staff to ensure smooth, seamless patient care
– Promoting and maintaining the highest quality and safety standards

To be successful in this role you will have:

– Current registration with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR)
– Previous experience practicing Sonography in a busy clinic or hospital environment
– Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of health professionals and corporate staff
– Ability to work shift work and weekend work if required
– Experience using Philips equipment desirable

Selection Criteria

– Post-graduate qualifications in ultrasound with current Registration with Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR) as a Sonographer.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact with a wide range of people.
– Ability to provide a full range of general ultrasound exams, including experience in MSK, obstetrics and interventional imaging.
– Ability to work within a team
– Ability to interpret request information, select the optimal protocol and adapt the protocol to a range of clinical scenarios.
– Evidence of ongoing personal CPD, and contribution to supervision or development of others.
– Experience applying legislation, regulations, policies and procedures to medical imaging and the day-to-day operation of an imaging modality to ensure sustainable, on-going service provision.
