About Monash Imaging at Monash Health

Over 365,000 imaging examinations are performed per year across all sites.  The Service budgets for approximately 464 EFT, and has an expense budget of $100M.

The Imaging program clearly defines its purpose as the delivery of leading-edge, evidence-based diagnostic and therapeutic imaging services, research and education that meets the needs of our community.  This is evidenced by the large number of publications, research and beta agreements currently in place.  The collaborative agreements and published research are indicators of leadership and expertise in the field of Radiology

About the Role

Reporting to the Imaging General Manager this role ensures the effective day to day operation of the imaging department at Casey Hospital and dental sites.

In conjunction with the Monash Imaging executive the successful person will assist in the development of initiatives to support Monash Health’s strategic plan and participate as a member of the Monash Imaging Operations Team.

To support the delivery of the Monash Health Strategic Plan, the Chief Medical Imaging Technologist is responsible for the provision of person centred care through quality service delivery, staff management and accountability. The position requires effective and efficient financial accountability, innovation, resource management, collaboration and team development.

What you need:

* Current registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia
* APRHA registration
* Previous managerial role within an imaging department or similar
