Job description:

 

The Role:

As part of the Division of Surgery, this full time, fixed term position exists to provide a quality imaging service to patients and referrers. As a general MIT the required roles include imaging modalities as per the current skills of the incumbent and to expand and improve those skills. It is expected the Grade 1 MIT learns and applies specialist skills in modalities..

The successful candidate would be involved with all areas of paediatric imaging and would be given the opportunity to learn or improve skills in CT and DSA.

The successful candidate will be rostered to a satellite site near RCH as well as to private rooms within the RCH precinct, as part of the regular roster.

The position requires participation in the weekend and after hour’s rosters as well as some on-call after a suitable training period.

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

Diploma or degree in Applied Science/Diagnostic Radiography as outlined for eligibility for membership of the AIR.
Demonstration of appropriate experience within the Medical Imaging field.
Current membership of AHPRA
Current Victorian DHHS radiation licence.
